My feelings exactly. Christmas with children is a wonderfully exciting, crazy holiday.

Derek bought all of us scrubs for Christmas.

Yes, they do sell pink scrubs that also say "Doctor in Training". No we're not sexist. (Don't forget, I was pre-med too in undergrad.) But after four kids and a year and a half of residency, we are both grateful that Derek is fully committed to his role as the provider for our family and that I'm fully committed to being a mom. You may argue, but you won't have much luck convincing me this year.

The Christmas pictures I didn't get sent out. It was one of the things I let go this year in order to have a low-stress, enjoyable Christmas season. And it worked!
(Now how do I get over the guilt of having a stack of unmailed photos on my desk?) :)
My greatest triumph of the year: we made it into Lydia's Style Magazine! You'd have to be from Fort Collins to appreciate being featured in these "society pages"... ha ha ha, does that sound small town or what?! (Scroll down to the Respite Care Ball to see our photo.)

Ummm... they didn't write "Dr. Derek & Brittany Weaver"... I would request a correction for the next publication. ;)
Way to make Lydia's... I also saw a girl from high school, who "stole" my spot on the 8th grade girls basketball team. Oh small towns, gotta love 'em.
Hilarious!! My first thought when I saw those pink scrubs was "wasn't Brittany pre-med at one point?” But I can fully relate and love that we are blessed where I can stay home as well.
We didn't get pictures out this year either...it really does help lower the stress. Love the picture of you two in the society pages. You know you have made it when…
I love all the pictures. You have such a beautiful family...who we miss. :(
That is a really cute Christmas card and family picture!
