A week after we moved here, Derek's parents arrived just in time to help us unpack, organize, remodel, organize some more, and clean. Not to mention that Ethan was very grumpy for the first week that we lived here-- he was NOT impressed with the countryside, he missed his friends and cousins, and he feared that we would never be technologically connected (our TV is still not set up yet.) But on the morning before Fred and Nori arrived, Ethan announced "Today is the day that all our troubles will be over." When I asked why, he replied "Because now we'll have relatives here." Having his grandparents here instantly boosted his spirits and he hasn't been discouraged since.
