Today Derek and I were privileged to be the escorts for Steven and Amy Plata as they were sealed together as a family with their children in the Columbia River Temple. It is been nothing short of miraculous to witness this young family progress in the gospel and transform their lives.
Although they constantly thank friends, including us, for our support and examples, I feel just as grateful and humbled to be associated with such valiant spirits who are so receptive to the whisperings of the Spirit.
I loved listening to the words of Brother Schulteiss, and his counsel on marriage. I was reminded that as Derek and I each draw closer to God, we draw closer to each other. Also, that as I strive to make Derek happy, I will in return find true happiness.
