E turns 8

Ethan turned 8 on 3/9 and will be baptized this Saturday. Wow, I can't believe we're old enough for this-- I can definitely believe he's old enough-- I've felt like we've been raising a teen-ager for the past 4 years. :) I've had plenty of time to be nervous for the day that he would actually be accountable for his choices-- don't get me wrong, he's a great kid, but if you know him, I think you'll agree that "precocious" is probably a good description of him. He has so much passion and drive and determination, I can't help but feel the weight of my responsibility to help him steer his energy in the right direction. But I actually feel like he is (and I am) ready for this.
As headstrong as he is and as exasperating as he can be, I look into those brown eyes and see that little smirky smile (which I must say he got from his daddy) and he still melts my heart.

He has always seemed older then he really is, but I still can't believe he is turning eight! I agree, he is a stud. I am just waiting for the day we can reintroduce Lillian to those boys of yours. ;)

I can't believe we will be going through the same thing with Kaden in January.

Congratulations on your baptism tomorrow Ethan!

He's still on the short list for future Ellie suitors, so we still like him. She may give him a run for his money - which might be a good thing.
Tell him congratulations for us. He is such a handsome boy.
