I've decided that it's time for us to branch out and create our family's own blog. We've had shared blogs with my family and with Derek's family for the past couple of years (which we will continue to utilize!) but since we have so many friends with blogs who might not know our extended families, we've decided to create our own.
Why now? Well, as most of you know, I'm sure Jane was due to be born two days ago. Now that I've gotten off the emotional roller coaster (for the moment, anyway) and have come to accept that she'll come in her own due time, I am enjoying these days that I haven't scheduled anything on, assuming I'd be recovering and taking care of my new baby girl. So today I spent with Reid and four of his preschool friends, along with Luke and some of the other moms, on a field trip to the Environmental Learning Center. Afterward we went to my friend Laurel's house where she had invited a few other friends to meet us for lunch and let the kids play. We started talking about photo albums and blogging, and since I had the afternoon free, I decided it would be a great day to do the blog. So here it is. We'll see how much I actually get done in terms of posting and trying to customize before Jane actually comes.
Feel free to make comments, but don't bother giving me any advice on how to get Jane to get here; this week I've already tried spicy Chinese food (with my mom and sister Cami at PF Chang's-- yummy!), bouncing on the fitness ball, exercising on the treadmill, accupressure points, hot baths, mopping the floor, getting a pedicure (I thought maybe doing something really girly would entice Jane)... and a few other things that might make some people blush, so I won't mention them. I read about castor oil, but can't bring myself to drink it, and yes, I know my husband is a doctor and he has kindly offered the medications available for induction, but tampering too much with nature scares me, so I'll avoid those as long as possible. :) In the meantime, I'll try to catch up on putting photos into albums and blogging-- not to mention a few more nights of uninterrupted sleep!

If you are ever up at 3am and need someone to talk to you can call, I'm sure I'll be up too. I've forgotten what sleep really is.
Congrats again. We love you all.
Wahoo! That's so awesome. I think Rick told me you were expecting a while ago, but I admit that I forgot. So this was surprising and wonderful news! However, you're making us feel like we need to have another one or something. But, you should know that I'm not going to feel the pressure. We just know we'll have a girl next because you did, of course. And I'm not ready for the drama yet. :) We love you guys!
Congrats!!! Jane...what a sweet name. I can't wait to see more pics on your blog. Your boys are so cute!
Congrats on the new baby girl. You sound just like us, 3 boys and then a girl. You adore her I'm sure. Our boys LOVE having a sister. Time will fly so enjoy these infant months. You can keep in touch at our blog. kingsinmi.blogspot.com
Love the pics, thanks for letting us finally see our niece! Congrats again!
In response to your question...why couldn't you believe Snoop would convert? Don't be so judgemental.
...But of course he didn't. That's ridiculous. It was some April fools joke online that got a fair amount of circulation...I imagine the pic is photoshopped, but I didn't do it if it is.
Love you guys!
How fun! A girl--finally!! Congrats!! How's it going?!?!
