The Human Race
A few weeks ago the boys competed in what was Reid's and Luke's first 1/2 K race.
As soon as the race started, I realized that in order to stay with Reid, I'd have to carry Luke. There were so many kids, it was incredible! Reid was so cute, and determined to follow his Dad's only "rule of running"-- "keep running." About half way through, Reid started to get a side cramp, but he was determined to keep going, no matter how slow he jogged. As we jogged along, a little boy ahead of us was leisurely bounding along, and he turned around and looked at us, and without any malice simply stated, "I'm beating you!" All of a sudden, my little feeble Reid had fire kindled in his eyes, and before the little boy could see what was happening, Reid blazed past him, and didn't stop until he crossed the finish line. It was so cute to see his competitive nature flare up like that!

Not many kids or adults can say they start out running and end out running (like me). Way to go Ehtan! Reid, way to pull it out and come from behind...kids are going to have to look out for you in the future.
Looks like you boys are all following in your parent's running footsteps. :)
